A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team on the Children’s Burns Unit based within The Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust.

This is a great opportunity to be involved in leading a Regional service that is evolving to meet the needs of Children’s Burns and Plastic Surgery Care, across the Yorkshire and Humberside region. This role will give you opportunities to develop experience, skills and knowledge in caring for children and young people requiring specialist care from the Burns and Plastics teams. You will be supported to undertake clinical examinations, work as a team and autonomously, and take part in educational teaching packages. We have a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist for Burns Care to provide education and support within the clinical setting.

The Regional Burns Unit has 5 in-patient beds including a dedicated HDU bed and has a daily out-patient clinic consisting of burns and plastic surgery dressings. We are very proud of our teams, the service we deliver and the opportunities and support we offer staff.

You will also have the opportunity to attend study days and training to further develop within your role, and be involved in local research projects relevant to Burns and Plastics Care.

You will be offered a personal career plan with the opportunity to rotate to other areas within children’s services.
