Job summary
We are looking for a dedicated, experienced and enthusiastic nurse to be part of our small Interventional Radiology Team.
The successful candidate will work with the team in supporting patients undergoing interventional and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
The post holder will be involved with the pre-, peri- and post-procedure care of patients undergoing interventional procedures. Roles will include directly monitoring patients, offering support, analgesia and sedation during procedures, and scrubbing whilst assisting the Radiologist.
The department is open weekdays from 0800 to 1700, with a limited out of hours emergency service.
Applicants will be expected to be self-motivated and have excellent communication skills and relevant post registration experience. Working in an intense, constantly changing environment the role allows you to use your nursing skills to support patients through minimally invasive procedures, nursing on a one to one basis.
We welcome applications from all areas of nursing although previous experience in interventional radiology, cardiac catheterization or theatre is desirable.
Training will be given to successful applicants to ensure that an in-depth knowledge of Interventional and non-interventional procedures is gained.
