This is the Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Care or designate, and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, the RN/LPN will work closely with other front line team members to provide high quality care and services to residents. You will work a full time that include two dayshifts and two night shifts with two days off in between.
The RN/LPN supports the team it works with in creating a warm, respectful, positive, safe, supportive culture for our residents, their families and other team members. As part of their role, the RN/LPN ensures care and services provided to the residents aligns with organizational polices, care standards and regulations. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to; providing ongoing support, training, trouble-shooting and assistance with care and services as required.
The outcome is to deliver safe, holistic care in a healthy care environment to all Hamlets residents.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Qualified Registered Nurse (RN) or
- Qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Minimum of 1 year experience in residential care
- Evidence of maintaining personal on-going education and training
- An equivalent combination of experience and qualifications acceptable to the facility
- Excellent communication skills
- Conducts oneself in a professional manner
- Demonstrates and supports the Vision, Mission and Values
- Energetic, positive, a natural leader who has the personal skills to motivate, encourage and support team members
- Driven toward quality outcomes in all disciplines. Ability to implement and support quality improvements and organizational quality initiatives
- Embaces and supports person centered care, holistic care and resident personhood
Ability to work as an effective member of the multidisciplinary team
- The ability to take initiative; able to work independently and energized by developing the skills and abilities of others both inside and outside personal area of expertise
- Demonstrate the ability and temperament to deal tactfully, effectively and cooperatively with residents, family members, contract agencies, team members, leadership and visitors
- Lifetime learner, quick study, and able to communicate and teach new concepts to others
- The ability to support all team members who provide resident care and services
- Excellent communication skills, in English, both in writing and verbally
- Ability to maintain good health and wellness, well-groomed and has the physical capabilities required for the role
- Good computer skills
- Understanding and ability to demonstrate advocacy
Job Types: Full-time Day Shift / Night shift, (4 on 2 off) Permanent with benefits.
