This is the Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Care or designate, and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, the RN/LPN will work closely with other front line team members to provide high quality care and services to residents. You will work a full time that include two dayshifts and two night shifts with two days off in between.

The RN/LPN supports the team it works with in creating a warm, respectful, positive, safe, supportive culture for our residents, their families and other team members. As part of their role, the RN/LPN ensures care and services provided to the residents aligns with organizational polices, care standards and regulations. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to; providing ongoing support, training, trouble-shooting and assistance with care and services as required.

The outcome is to deliver safe, holistic care in a healthy care environment to all Hamlets residents.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualified Registered Nurse (RN) or
Qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Minimum of 1 year experience in residential care
Evidence of maintaining personal on-going education and training
An equivalent combination of experience and qualifications acceptable to the facility
Excellent communication skills
Conducts oneself in a professional manner
Demonstrates and supports the Vision, Mission and Values
Energetic, positive, a natural leader who has the personal skills to motivate, encourage and support team members
Driven toward quality outcomes in all disciplines. Ability to implement and support quality improvements and organizational quality initiatives
Embaces and supports person centered care, holistic care and resident personhood

Ability to work as an effective member of the multidisciplinary team

The ability to take initiative; able to work independently and energized by developing the skills and abilities of others both inside and outside personal area of expertise
Demonstrate the ability and temperament to deal tactfully, effectively and cooperatively with residents, family members, contract agencies, team members, leadership and visitors
Lifetime learner, quick study, and able to communicate and teach new concepts to others

The ability to support all team members who provide resident care and services
Excellent communication skills, in English, both in writing and verbally

Ability to maintain good health and wellness, well-groomed and has the physical capabilities required for the role
Good computer skills
Understanding and ability to demonstrate advocacy

Job Types: Full-time Day Shift / Night shift, (4 on 2 off) Permanent with benefits.
