Specialist Palliative Care Nurse Lead

To work autonomously taking overall responsibility for care, quality and clinical activity by providing specialist professional nursing leadership and guidance, specialist palliative and end of life care clinical advice and management. To ensure the delivery of a clinically effective specialist palliative and end of life care nursing service, which meets the needs of patients and their loved ones as outlined in the ICSPC Service Specification and Memorandum of Agreement. To understand the clinical care delivered by the team acting as a role model for staff, demonstrating a professional and proactive approach and delivering expert clinical practice and advice. To actively participate in improving the service in collaboration with the managers of the ICSPCS to initiate and support future developments of the service.
