Theatre Nurse/ODP

We are a forward thinking organisation and are looking to recruit a number of Theatre Practitioners who are highly motivated and open to change.

This post is suitable for a Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner, who is skilled in scrub, anaesthetic and/or recovery practice and the associated duties working within the Day Surgery Theatres at Jersey General Hospital. We have two dedicated surgical theatres and a minor operations unit. Our theatres cover a wide range of specialities including General Surgery, Gynaecology, Urology, ENT & Dental, Vascular, Ophthalmic and Pain. The positions available are within scrub and circulating duties and also anaesthetic and recovery.

We have a fantastic team of staff and they would be fully supportive of new any new member. Some rotation and flexibility will be required to meet service needs. The post holder will be expected to participate in some weekend work on Saturdays, usually one per month. The successful candidate will be accountable, expected to work within a multi-professional team, liaising with and providing high quality care for patients. You will need to possess excellent communication and inter-personal skills with the ability to promote a learning environment. To adhere to and practice within the NMC/ HCPC Code of Professional Conduct. Ensure adherence to agreed local, organisational and national policies.
