Trainee Nurse Hysteroscopist

Gynaecology at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital covers an Inpatient Ward, Outpatient Department and Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit. Cley is a dynamic and well supported Gynaecology ward with a busy turnover of patients. We take our own direct emergency admissions, and we are committed to delivering the highest standard of care.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of the Hysteroscopy team within our Gynaecology department to provide expert nursing care and management of Hysteroscopy patients.

The post-holder will have gynaecological experience and will be responsible for supporting the Senior Hysteroscopy nurse to develop and co-ordinate the Hysteroscopy service within the Gynaecology Department, supporting patients across the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and other agencies. The post-holder will be required to provide clinical leadership, advice, and education in Hysteroscopy, providing nurse led clinics and delivering high quality care for patients requiring the service.
Once training is complete, the post holder will provide higher levels of decision making and clinical judgement. They will ensure that patients health needs are assessed, treated, managed, implemented, and evaluated in partnership with patients, and provide specialist advice to healthcare professionals, other agencies, carers, clients, and relatives.
The post holder will participate in the provision of specialist education and training programmes for health care professionals and other professional groups caring for Gynaecology patients. They will work in conjunction with the medical team. They will also utilise clinical audit, research, supervision of practice and teaching, in order to monitor and improve standards of care by efficient and effective use of resources.
