Trainee Osteoporosis Clinical Nurse Specialist

To work within a highly specialist nursing service, providing specialist knowledge and clinical expertise within the field of osteoporosis.

Ensuring high quality and effective care delivery in the diagnosis and management of those patients diagnosed with or considered at risk of osteoporosis.

To act as an Independent Nurse Prescriber, commencing appropriate drug regimens for the management of osteoporosis and associated conditions and undertaking monitoring and review of patients’ medication including discontinuing and changing treatment as appropriate.

As this is a training role you will be required to undertake the non-medical prescribing course which is anticipated to take up to 3 years (annex 21 to be applied to the salary for the duration of training)
