Nurses were a hot topic on medical Twitter this past weekend when the ophthalmologist and comedian known as Dr. Glaucomflecken posed a hypothetical scenario to healthcare professionals: What would you ask your hospital’s chief medical officer for if you could request one change that they would have to make (besides more money for yourself)?
“Can I ask for more money for the nurses?” tweeted Dr. Rob Davidson. “Recruitment and retention of great nurses would fix so many of the problems with which we are dealing.”
