Full Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct short in-person medical consultations to determine medical eligibility for ketamine-assisted therapy as well as commonly used psychiatric medications
  • Collaborate with Journey Clinical psychiatric medical team to prescribe, and monitor patient outcomes via telemedicine
  • Engage in collaborative care with Journey Clinical member psychotherapists
  • Work with Journey Clinical care coordinators to streamline your workflow and administrative tasks
  • Continuously and promptly give honest feedback on the Journey Clinical care management system to improve our services
  • Report to the Lead Clinician and collaborate with the leadership team

Requirements:
  • Willing to conduct in-person consultations at a Journey Clinical affiliated clinic locationLicensed to practice as an FNP or PA in at least 1 state where Journey Clinical is operating (NY, NJ, MA, CA, CO, OH, TX)
  • Our footprint is growing, feel free to apply if you are interested but are not licensed in these states!
  • Active DEA registration within the state you are licensed to practice and willing to see patients in-person
  • At least 6 months experience as a family nurse practitioner or as a physicians assistant
  • Experience with psychiatric diagnosis, medication interactions, and assessment criteria is preferred
  • Willingness to collaborate with psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners on patient treatment plans and outcomes
  • Willingness to engage in educational offerings to further educate on psychiatric medications
  • Comfortable prescribing controlled substances when medically appropriate
  • Comfortable prescribing for anxiety and depression
  • Ability to synthesize medical and psychiatric information about the patient to formulate effective and evidence-based clinical recommendations
  • Patient-first mindset, deep work ethic and dedication to the highest level of patient care
  • Willing to use a few simple tools to make your life easier (Slack, G Suite, Zoom, etc.)
  • Interest for the fields of psychiatry and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy to transform mental health
